The Friday Edit - NEW format!
Almost one year on Substack and still evolving.
Spring cleaning here at the LKO Edit!
The goal is to keep things fun and user-friendly so you know what to expect each week. Sunday recently got a new format, which made me realize Friday needed a little refresh too - so here’s what you can expect going forward…
Let the people decide
Each week I will give you the opportunity to vote on upcoming content…below is this week’s question.

What I bought this week
I pulled the trigger on a lot of things…knowing that I wouldn’t be keeping everything. Here’s what I ordered (that arrived this week):
This Sold Out NYC dress - Really nice quality, great fit at top and really nice fabric, just a little too full at the waist for me. I would still highly recommend it for right body types but I returned it. The quality encouraged me to order one of their Vogue approved white t-shirts and a black cardigan so stay tuned.
Cargo-style pants are everywhere right now, and this pair is so good: great fit, quality, and style. I switched from red to white at the last minute and they’re a 10/10. Size down. Chic, comfortable, and easy to dress up or down - and not see through in white! I’m ordering the green next (since the red sold out in my size) because I know I’ll wear them constantly. I rarely wear shorts, so I love this style with a t-shirt and sandals or sneakers. Would be equally chic with a little heel and dressier top. LKO Sidenote: I’m also a little obsessed with this influencer-favorite version in taffeta gingham, same vibe but more elevated…not inexpensive.
This mock neck short sleeve tee. Quality and fit is so good. This is basically a dressed up tee. Looks v chic with the cargo pants. I don’t love my neck so I like how it zips it up a bit (hah) and it’s the perfect style top for a bold earring.
This red dress. Really love the style and the fabric is fabulous, really light so packs easily but still with some structure. It’s very chic and the quality is great so I decided to try their khaki pant too. They’re not cheap for khakis but they seem chic and flattering and if I like the fit I know I will wear them a ton. I am in my less is more phase.
Ordered these picture ledges for our dining area. Inspired by the Dunmore, pictured above (which is not a new idea, my chic friend did it in her home and I love it). We may do all food/family table shots on it so stay tuned…
Ordered a new custom dining table from this company in the exact measurements we need (with two extension leaves) We have really struggled with this area of the apartment because space is limited and we have been lighting money on fire buying things we can’t return that don’t work. This is when my “cry once” advice should have been used. Pray this one works..although it will be at least 2.5 months before we know.
This blue shirt. Another influencer favorite and I am so glad I finally got one. I absolutely love it. The collar is so chic and the fabric and color is gorgeous. I will wear this a lot.
Two pairs of shoes from the Margaux sample sale! If you’re in or near NYC it’s running through Sunday and they restock daily. Got their classic platform sandal in black and a tres chic navy suede loafer. LOVE (especially the price!)
Stylish looks for the week
I love saving screen shots of looks that I can copy. These feel like nice transitional outfits for heading into spring…time to shop your closet!

This section will be pretty much anything: from style to food to homes to travel to books - today’s topic! - to whatever else I want to share!
Three readers sent me information about this new book coming out: The Art of Intentional Dressing: Your Essential Style Guide for Manifesting a Magnetic Life by Erin Walsh. THANK YOU!
I already listened to her conversation with Mel Robbins on The Mel Robbins Podcast (which I highly recommend!) and immediately preordered the book, which comes out May 5th.
Walsh is a celebrity stylist who dresses A-list stars like Anne Hathaway and Selena Gomez. She’s doing an event with Gabby Bernstein at the 92nd Street Y in NYC and I’m so disappointed to miss it because we’ll be away, but I love seeing two things I’m passionate about - fashion and manifesting - intersect like this. Walsh’s approach is centered on the idea that what you wear can help you manifest the life you want.
Instead of asking: What do I want to wear today? She suggests asking: How do I want to feel today? It’s a simple shift, but a powerful one. And as all of us manifestors know, how we feel stems from our thoughts - and our thoughts are what shape our lives.
Some days you may want to feel powerful (big meetings, important moments). Other days you may want to feel cozy or relaxed. Either way, this simple intention starts before you even get dressed and has the potential to help you create the day (and life!) you want to live. She also gets into lots of practicalities when facing our closets and we will be talking a lot more about this here at The LKO Edit.
